According to Pew's forecast, in 2030, the number of Muslims will be around 2.209.270.000 people, in 2040 it will be 2.756.390.000 people and will reach around 2.918.070.000 people in 2050.
Third place is Hinduism with 1.161.440.000 people in 2020, accounting for 15,2% of the global population.
Buddhism ranked fourth with 506.990.000 people in 2020, accounting for 6,6% of the global population.
